This event is going to be incredible with industry experts sharing their wealth of knowledge about home buying with you! What Are The Specifics?

Myself and Ashley Tilton have partnered to offer you home buying advice. We’ve been doing this a while, and we have realized that most buyers are not even a little prepared when they reach out to us wanting to buy a house. They’re usually about a year away from being ready! The event will be at 8th Wonder Brewery in East Downtown from 6 PM to 8 PM on May 15th, and we will have 4 guest speakers to discuss the buying process. The vibe will be relaxing and informative, without any sales-y pressure. When have you ever known me to be pushy? I’m going to wear jeans, and you should too!

Who Are These So-Called Experts?

The Lender – We’re bringing in Chad Helmcamp of Legacy Mutual Mortgage, and you’re going to love him! He personally helped me purchase my first home, and he has held the hand of many of my first time buyers. His super power is education and information! He is going to discuss what a qualified buyer looks like, and how he can help you get your finances where you want them to be. He will discuss the current interest rate increases, and how they affect you.

The Insurance Agent – Mark Rafail is the owner of Rafail Insurance in Greenway Plaza, and the founder of Egypt Fest. He owns a home in the Houston Heights area, and knows a lot about insurance, from cars to houses. He’s going to speak about the homeowner insurance policy, and additional coverages that you might want. He will also discuss one of the hottest topics in Houston insurance today: flood insurance.

The Home Inspector – Grant Miller with Fox Inspection Group is a wealth of knowledge, and he just bought his first home. He knows exactly what it feels like to be you, and how scary it might be to get your first inspection report. He is going to calm those fears by explaining the home inspection report and process.

The Escrow Officer – we have also teamed up with Deanna Mellas from North American Title to explain to you another important insurance policy you are required to have: title insurance. The escrow officer does more than just provide title insurance though. She will be sharing with you how she facilitates the complete transaction from start to finish.
