Hot New High Rise Rentals in Houston
Houston development never seems to stop. Just when you think we can’t possibly need any more homes, condominiums or apartments, another building breaks ground. The inventory for rental units is at an all time high, and we are currently in a renter’s market. This means that you can live in a high rise cheaper than ever before, in Houston. Don’t get carried away; high rises are still considered luxury! You can’t get into one for $1000 monthly, but you can get 3 months free. Without wasting any more of your time, here are my picks for hot new high rise rentals in Houston.
Located in downtown Houston, Market Square Tower is a luxury high rise manged by Greystar. The community overlooks its namesake, Market Square, which is filled with food trucks and activities for downtown area residents. The community is walking distance to nightlife on Main Street and the arts located in the theatre district. Residences feature stainless steel appliance packages with gas ranges, floor to ceiling windows, solar shades, hard wood floors, custom cabinets, custom closets, marble and granite counters, stand-alone showers and so much more. The community offers 24/7 concierge services, a grand ballroom for entertaining, pet walking services, the Sky gym, and most importantly the infinity deck with glass bottom pool! Market Square Tower is currently offering half off the rent for the first six months of your lease (this translates to 3 months free on a 12 month lease.)
In the eclectic Houston neighborhood of Montrose is one of the newest high rises to offer apartments and penthouses for lease. Hanover Montrose is owned and managed by the Hanover Company. Located just off the main thoroughfare, Montrose Boulevard is a building surrounding by walkable dining, nightlife, arts and activities. Like most high rises, Hanover Montrose offers valet parking, features an on-site dog park. The 15,000 square feet of resident amenity space feature a Technogym, a rooftop pool and panoramic views of the city. Individual homes have a modern finish and are appointed with chef-inspired kitchens, spa style bathrooms, quartz counters, wine fridges, 10 foot ceilings and stunning views of Houston. Hanover Montrose is currently offering 12 weeks free.
Situated right around the corner from the Houston Museum of Natural Sciences, this just might be my favorite new high rise. The Southmore is walking distance to dining and world-class museums including the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. It is located just a couple block from the METROrail making it a great fit for medical professionals or anyone working in downtown. Residents can enjoy easy access to downtown, midtown or NRG stadium using the light rail system. The Southmore is a luxury high rise developed by Hines and managed by Greystar. Hines is possibly most well known in Houston for the development of the Williams Tower (formerly Transco) and the adjacent Waterwall Park. The building amenities include a 10,000 square foot private park, 24/7 concierge services, electric vehicle charging stations and guest suite accommodations for your out of town guests. Each unit offers quartz counter tops, custom cabinets, relaxing soaking tubs, 10 foot ceiling and wide-plank hard wood floors. The Southmore is also offering up to 12 weeks free for new residents.
In the Museum District on a quite residential street rises The Carter. I love this community because it is on a small street lined with trees and walking distance to dining and night life. The Carter is owned by Street Lights Residential and managed by Lincoln Property Company. New to Houston, Street Lights Residential has put a new spin on luxury living! Building amenities include a hotel lobby-style bar just for residents. Residents simply tell the bartender their unit number and the bar tab is due with the next rent payment. The community offers Fitness on Demand, a private pool courtyard, 24/7 concierge, and a 19th floor penthouse lounge with private dining, entertainment and a poker room. The apartment homes are unique with mud rooms, built in Sonos with surround sound, custom light packages, black out and solar shades, and dimmable light coves! The Southmore is offering 3 months free on a 13 month lease.
In the prestigious River Oaks area of Highland Village, The Ivy is currently under construction. Situated on River Oaks Green, the private park joining two Street Light Residential communities, The Ivy is on a residential street. It is walking distance to popular River Oak District filled with high end shopping, dining and night life to experience. The community offers valet services, a private, resident only, hotel inspired lobby bar, electric car charging stations and a luxury pool lounge. Individual homes will offer shaker panel custom wood cabinets, granite counters, custom backsplashes, walk in showers with benches and rainfall shower heads, custom lighting, and keyless resident entry. The Ivy is pre-leasing for the end of April and offering one month free on a 12 month lease. Hard hat tours are available by appointment only.
