History: This neighborhood was established in the 1940s. The vast majority of it is located in Houston, but a portion of the community lies within Southside Place. In 1951, the Braeswood Homeowners Association was founded. The organization protects 2,200 homes across seven subdivisions including Ayrshire, Braes Manor, Braes Heights, Braes Oaks, Braes Terrace, Emerald Forest, and Southern Oaks. In recent years, the community has seen a great deal of new construction and redevelopment projects, including those by the Stella Link Redevelopment Association.
Shopping: With the neighborhood located under 15 minutes from Texas Medical Center, Rice Village, and West University Place, residents of Braeswood Place have numerous shopping options. However, you don’t necessarily have to leave the neighborhood to get your shopping done. Stella Link Braeswood Intersect, Braes Link Shopping Center, and Vanderbilt Square are just a few locations residents can visit to make purchases.
Community: This community is known for its welcoming vibes and tree-lined streets. It’s easy to find a park or green space to relax at, and many of Houston’s most popular neighborhoods are located close by. Homebuyers will find primarily single-family homes here as well as some new construction. Fans of 1950s-era ranch homes will also love this area.
Culture: Since Braeswood Place is located within the Inner Loop, you never have to travel too far to enjoy a good meal or a night out on the town. However, there are plenty of awesome places to check out within the area! According to Nextdoor, Escalante’s Fine Tex-Mex and Tequila and Los Tios Mexican Restaurants are just a couple local hotspots with many more in the area to enjoy!
