Most residents can expect to be able to complete their errands without ever even hopping in a vehicle. The area is also described as “flat as a pancake,” so it’s great for bicyclists. The community offers a couple public transportation options, but when you live in a place that’s so close to so much, you may not need to use it.

Parks, Recreation, and Green Spaces: Hermann Park is just minutes away from this small gated community. Residents love that they can easily visit the Houston Museum of Natural Science, the Houston Zoo, live concerts, hiking and biking trails, a Japanese garden, and more. The Museum District is also located near the neighborhood and offers plenty to do for those seeking recreation.

Commute: Getting on the highway could not be easier in this area. Interstate 69 and Route 59 are located just to the north, and main roads like Kirby Drive, Bissonnet Street, and Shepherd Drive are also nearby. This little development is highly sought-after due to its close proximity to job hubs like Texas Medical Center, Greenway Plaza, and Rice Village. Public transportation is somewhat limited here, but options are available.

History: Although Northampton Place was developed fairly recently and was completed in 1996, it is surrounded by neighborhoods whose rich histories date back to the 1920s! The Northampton Place Homeowners’ Association was established in June of 1996.

Shopping: This community offers no shortage of opportunities to shop. Rice Village just 5 – 10 minutes to the south offers a 16-block shopping district known for its restaurants and retail shopping. Highland Village, the Galleria, River Oaks Shopping Center, and the Museum District are also nearby.

Community: This gated community is known for its small size – there are only approximately 36 homes here. However, low inventory can make purchasing a home in this neighborhood challenging. Prospective buyers typically love the community’s central location and great accessibility, so when searching for a home in this area, it’s important to work with a Realtor® who moves fast. Homes in this neighborhood are also generally a bit more affordable than homes in surrounding communities.

Culture: Although this community is small, the surrounding area offers so many benefits.
