Houston Restaurants with a Patio

Whether you’re looking for an alternative to eating indoors due to coronavirus or you just want to relish the sun while you enjoy a meal, there are so many restaurants in the Houston area with a patio! Here are a handful of my local favorites:

Kau Ba

Residents of Montrose don’t have to travel far to enjoy this gem! Kau Ba serves Vietnamese-Cajun fusion dishes created by celebrity chef Nikki Tran, and they truly are one-of-a-kind. The restaurant is committed to using fresh ingredients, nixing MSG, and minimizing the use of white sugar in meals. Their colorful outdoor pergola on Dunlavy Street is a treat to sit at while enjoying a plate!

The Annie Cafe and Bar

Known for its bustling bar, the Annie Café and Bar has an awesome outdoor rooftop dining area. Located in the Galleria neighborhood, the restaurant is run by award-winning Executive Chef Robert Del Grande. His Texas-inspired American dishes have been enjoyed by many diners in search of a tasty meal in a location with an upscale atmosphere. If you’re lucky enough to land a seat in their outdoor dining area, you will not be disappointed by the beautiful view of the Houston skyline!

B & B Butchers & Restaurant

Meat lovers, rejoice! B & B Butchers has an amazing rooftop patio! If you love a good view of downtown and are picky about the quality of your beef and other meats, this is the spot to go. Their bacon and lobster mac and cheese alone is worth the trip. The Wagyu beef and Kobe beef are also pretty extraordinary. Dine in or pick up at their butcher shop!

Brennan’s of Houston

Brennan’s of Houston is a beloved favorite that has been serving fine Creole meals for over 50 years. With an emphasis on Southern hospitality, it’s no wonder the restaurant has received hundreds of five-star reviews on Yelp. This location is the sister restaurant of Commander’s Palace in New Orleans and takes a lot of pride in using fresh, local ingredients. Although everything at Brennan’s is good, the shrimp Chippewa is truly a unique experience as it’s flamed table-side with cognac. Brennan’s outdoor patio is lush, comfortable, beautiful, and an all-around great place to enjoy a meal.
