St. Patrick’s Day Houston Happenings
St. Patrick’s Day in Houston is always a blast! It’s so much more than a day for us Houstonians, too, since events can stretch out all week long. If you’re looking for some things to do this year to celebrate the luck of the Irish, I’ve got just the list for you. These St. Patrick’s Day Houston happenings in 2020 are some of my favorites!
Griff’s Irish Pub
As the oldest sports bar in Houston, Griff’s is one of the hottest spots in the city to grab a bite to eat at. This year, Griff’s is hosting its 55th Annual St. Patrick’s Festival from March 7th through March 17th and each day has its own fun dedicated events or theme. The celebration ends on March 17th with loads of green beer, five bands, and two DJs. It gets pretty lively and is a wonderful time! Check out the event schedule here.
Irish Pub Kenneally’s
Ordering a beer at Kenneally’s during its St. Patrick’s Day celebrations is never a mistake. This year, Kenneally’s will be celebrating on March 14th (parade day) and 17th, and both days will feature awesome live music. Irish bagpipers will also be stopping by, so you can count on a truly spirited time if you head to Kenneally’s!
61st Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Houston’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade is one of my favorite spectacles and I know you will enjoy it, too. At the cheap, cheap price of free, there’s really no better way to celebrate! The parade begins at noon on March 14th and runs through 1:30 PM. This year, the parade owns a new route in Historic Market Square. Attendees can count on food, games, and live music along the parade route, and may even be able to score some drink deals at nearby Irish pubs.
No matter how you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in 2020, I hope you have an amazing and safe time!
